Are you suffering from feeling of low self-esteem, loneliness or anxiety? Feeling emotional for no reason, as if you just don't fit in, misunderstood or isolated? Do you feel tired and unable to keep up with your daily routine, challenged by incongruency regarding your sexual identity, relationship difficulties and/or adjusting to life changes? Would you like to talk to someone likeminded where you can feel free to speak your mind? These issues are usually catalyst to dysfunctional relationships, stress and feelings of helplessness. Speaking to a therapist is a good strep towards improving your mental health and live your best life.

I am a registered counselor and a child & youth care practitioner with more than two decades of experience including psychoeducation, trauma therapy, debriefing & support groups for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse. I offer short and long-term therapy to adolescents and adults to promote holistic, improved mental health. I also offer trauma support for gender-based violence, debriefing, LGBTQIA+ issues, and individual, family & couples therapy. I work with clients who have experienced trauma, struggle with life changes, couples, and individuals who struggle to communicate and make themselves heard. I am dedicated to empowering the LGBTQIA+ community by creating platforms that encourage open dialogue related to various ontologies that promote agency.

I view each client as case-specific and identify the appropriate treatment model after an initial assessment to address the client's specific needs. I make use of CBT, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused, Person-Centered, and Strengths-Based Therapy Models. I also utilize the Circle of Courage model which focuses on the strengths of the individual, including Belonging; Mastery; Generosity, and Independence. My authenticity is underpinned by my lived and work experiences, therefore I am deeply attuned to building and maintaining a positive rapport with my clients approaching the therapeutic process with empathy and optimism. Networking with other mental health stakeholders is my forte in guiding and supporting my clients to evolve into their best authentic selves.
